Brew a Perfect Moment
Relax with three distinct tea blends, curated to be your new reading companions. Alongside the teas, a fine glass tube catches the eye, filled with pink rock candy crystals. In Middle Eastern culture, rock candy is an integral part of the tea ritual. The fine rose aroma and real saffron taste make your tea a truly special experience.
A Unique Masterpiece
What makes your box truly special is the handmade coaster. Because each one is crafted by hand, every design is completely unique. No two coasters are exactly alike, making your box one of a kind.
The Clove Apple: Where Romance Meets Science
In Kurdish culture, this apple is an ancient symbol of love, requiring hours of patient handcraft. But the true magic lies in the science behind it:
• Natural Preservation: Cloves are rich in Eugenol, a natural antibacterial compound. As hundreds of cloves are pressed into the fruit, they naturally preserve the apple, allowing it to last for decades without decaying.
• An Everlasting Aroma: The essential oils inside the cloves make this apple an eco-friendly, permanent room freshener.
• The Magic Touch: The apple never truly loses its scent. To refresh its woody and spicy fragrance, simply give it a light spray of water. The moisture will instantly wake up the natural oils, filling your room with a calming aroma.
This scientific phenomenon shares an astonishing parallel with European history. During the Middle Ages, noble "pomanders"—scent balls meant to protect against diseases—were widely used, which later developed into the tradition of studding oranges with cloves. Our Clove Apple is a fragrant protector that continues to fascinate across cultures and centuries.
Light and Tranquility
The full reading ritual only becomes perfect when your other senses awaken. A small tin with a handcrafted scented candle provides a soft, warm glow and a gentle scent, allowing you to completely sink into the tranquility of words. Just like our coasters, the artistic design of each candle is absolutely unique.
The Secret Bookmark: A Masterpiece of Mystery
Every box contains a special puzzle that belongs only to you. Just like our coasters, every handmade wooden bookmark is completely unique. The carefully engraved symbols are not just beautiful decorations; they hide the identity of a famous author, philosopher, or activist. It is a brilliant brain teaser waiting to be deciphered. Can you guess who it is?

Violet Catalyst
Where Chemistry Meets Mixology
The Violet Catalyst is an interactive experience box that beautifully combines science, art, and mixology, bringing the magic of a chemistry lab right into your home. This box promises carefree and entertaining moments for a weekend for two. Watch the video below to discover how we transform drink creation into an unforgettable sensory journey.
Phase 1: The Elements of Synthesis
Every masterpiece requires the finest elements. Inside this box, you will find everything you need to craft a stunning botanical cocktail or mocktail. The set includes our exclusive lavender catalyst syrup, a test tube containing butterfly pea flowers, two custom resin coasters, three zip bags (containing hydrophilic basil seeds, popping sugar crystals, edible violet blossoms), and an innovative chickpea-marzipan sweet.
Phase 2: The Science of Senses
If you are curious about how this magic works, explore the fascinating scientific explanations below. The Violet Catalyst is designed to awaken all five of your senses:
👁️ Sight | The Magic of Colors: Science of the Butterfly Pea Flower
The Butterfly Pea Flower (Clitoria ternatea) is more than just a simple plant; it is a mini chemistry lab in your hands. In the world of molecular gastronomy, it acts as a natural pH indicator, blurring the line between the physics of light and art.
Geographical Origin: This plant comes from the tropical regions and rainforests of Southeast Asia (especially Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia).
The Shape-Shifting Molecule: The secret behind this visual change lies in a powerful group of antioxidant pigments called Anthocyanins. In a neutral state (like when mixed with pure water), these molecules show a deep, beautiful blue color.
The Full Color Spectrum: This liquid works like a living canvas. If you add an acidic ingredient (like lemon juice or our catalyst syrup) to the blue liquid, it instantly turns into a bright purple or magenta. But that is not all! If you add an alkaline or base ingredient (like baking soda), this magical liquid shifts to a beautiful dark green.
The Physics of Light and Wavelengths: This color change is not a magic trick, but a pure physical and chemical reaction. When an acid or base is added, the physical shape of the molecules changes. This new shape makes the molecule absorb light differently, changing the light wavelength that reflects back to your eyes.
🖐️ Touch | The Mystery of Texture: Evolution of Basil Seeds
In the world of molecular gastronomy, basil seeds are the "physical architects" of your drink, hiding amazing secrets of science and survival:
Extreme Water-Loving & Texture: These seeds love water. As soon as they touch a liquid, they wake up and swell up to 30 times their original volume in just seconds. These clear, jelly-like spheres give the drink a unique texture and a luxurious mouthfeel.
Evolutionary Genius: The reason for this amazing behavior goes back to the plant's origin in very hot, semi-desert climates. To survive in this harsh environment, the seed evolved to quickly drink water at the first drop of rain. It builds a protective jelly shield around itself to stay alive during hot and dry days.
Near-Neutral Buoyancy: When fully swollen, the density of these seeds shifts to closely mimic the surrounding liquid. Rather than sinking immediately, they enter a state of near-neutral buoyancy, which dramatically slows their descent. With a gentle stir, they linger beautifully in the glass.
Biochemical Cooling: This jelly layer breaks down very slowly in the body, gradually releasing the trapped water. This slow-release mechanism provides long-lasting hydration and helps regulate your inner body temperature.
👂 Hearing | Symphony of Senses: Physics of Carbonated Sugar
These crystal grains add an exciting acoustic dimension to your drink:
Architecture of Gas Crystals: Carbonated sugar is a clever mix of melted sugar and carbon dioxide (CO2) gas. During production, CO2 is injected into hot syrup under very high pressure. After cooling quickly, millions of microscopic gas bubbles get trapped inside the hard sugar, waiting for the moment of release.
Pure Physics, Not Chemistry: Unlike what most people think, the popping sound is not an acid-base chemical reaction. It is a purely physical and mechanical phenomenon. No new chemical substance is created; only a physical barrier is broken.
Acoustic Micro-Explosions: As soon as these crystals touch moisture (your drink or saliva), their sugar walls dissolve. When the walls collapse, the pressurized gas is suddenly released, tearing through the liquid and creating that exciting "pop" sound.
Extreme Pressure: The trapped gas bubbles inside these grains are highly compressed. They hold a pressure of about 40 to 50 times the Earth's normal atmospheric pressure (around 600 psi)! Because of this, you actually feel miniature physical shockwaves and vibrations on your tongue.
👃 Smell & 👅 Taste | The Catalyst Aroma and Flavor
The sensory journey is completed by our exclusive Parallaxia syrup, featuring an elegant lavender scent specially developed to enchant your sense of smell before you even take your first sip. With its fine acidity, the syrup acts as the perfect flavor catalyst, ensuring the tastes blend seamlessly. To finalize the experience, enjoy our innovative chickpea-marzipan pastry, naturally colored by the butterfly pea blossom.
Phase 3: The Catalyst Game
Beyond crafting a botanical drink, the Violet Catalyst features an exclusive chemistry-based puzzle. The custom resin coasters are not just elegant resting places for your glasses; they are the key to a fascinating game. Here is how box owners unlock their hidden reward:
• Decode the Coasters: Inside each coaster, the molecular structure of a specific compound is depicted. Identify the molecule and keep the first letter of its English name (e.g., Benzene = b).
• Initiate the Chemical Reaction: Use the included liquid dropper to place a small amount of your catalyst syrup onto the blue window of the playing card.
• Wait for the Magic: Give the reaction about 5 minutes. Through a real chemical process, a hidden numeric code will slowly become visible.
• Synthesize: Combine your letter clues with the hidden numbers to form one final secret code.
The Decoder: Claim Your Reward

About Us
The Origin: Physics, Art, and Berlin
Parallaxia was not conceived in a traditional culinary kitchen, but rather at the exact intersection of the physical sciences and fine art. Rooted in Berlin and driven by a multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in physics and artistic design, the brand is engineered to bridge the gap between academic rigor and sensory exploration. We do not merely simulate a laboratory experience; we apply the scientific method to gastronomy and visual aesthetics.
The Parallax Principle
We believe your context shapes your reality, and your perspective defines your taste. By engineering a precise collision between laboratory mechanics, physical art, and bold flavors, Parallaxia is more than a brand—it is an intersection.
The Execution: Engineered & One-of-a-Kind
At Parallaxia, we reject mass-produced design. The visual elements inside our boxes are not mere decorations; they are standalone physical artworks.Every artifact enclosed in our casings—whether it is a hand-painted illustration or a cast resin element—is completely handcrafted. Because of this analog process, no two boxes are ever exactly the same.
